Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about water treatment, our services, and what to expect.

Do you service equipment from other companies?

Yes, we service all makes and models of water treatment equipment. It doesn't matter where you bought your system—we can help with repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Do you do PFAS testing?

No, we do not perform PFAS testing. PFAS testing requires specialized laboratory analysis. If you're concerned about PFAS, contact your local health department for testing options. However, we can discuss treatment options if you have test results showing PFAS in your water.

What do you test for during a free water test?

During a standard water test, we check for hardness (calcium and magnesium), iron levels, hydrogen sulfide (sulfur smell), pH, and total dissolved solids (TDS). We can also test for other issues based on your specific concerns.

How long have you been in business?

We've been serving West Michigan homeowners with water treatment solutions for over a decade. We have hundreds of installations throughout Kent, Ionia, Montcalm, and Barry counties.

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Belding, MI and serve Kent, Ionia, Montcalm, and Barry counties. This includes communities like Grand Rapids, Greenville, Ionia, Hastings, and everywhere in between.

How long does a water test take?

A typical water test takes about 30 minutes. We'll test your water on-site, explain what we find, and answer any questions you have. There's no obligation to purchase anything.

Do I need to be home for a water test?

Yes, someone should be home so we can access your water and explain the results. We'll schedule a time that works for you.

Is the water test really free?

Yes, the water test is completely free with no obligation. We believe in education first—you should understand what's in your water before making any decisions.

How much does a water softener cost?

The cost varies depending on the size and type of system your home needs. We don't quote prices without first testing your water and understanding your situation. This ensures you get the right recommendation, not an over- or under-sized system.

Do you offer financing?

Financing options may be available for larger installations. Ask us during your water test appointment for current options.

How often does a water softener need maintenance?

Most water softeners need minimal maintenance—mainly keeping the salt topped up and occasional cleaning. We can provide specific maintenance recommendations based on your system.

Can you help with well water issues?

Absolutely. Many of our customers have private wells. We're very familiar with the common well water issues in our area, including hard water, iron, sulfur, and more.
